Leads and develops teams effectively by teaching, training, and actively listening to associates, touring stores, and providing feedback. Communicates and collaborates with all levels of associates regarding store operations, utilizing technology, business initiatives, merchandising, and company direction. Introduces and leads company change efforts, providing clear expectations and guidance to implement business solutions and communicate business objectives to teams effectively.
Models and demonstrates exceptional customer service standards to store associates by following and demonstrating the One Best Way (OBW) service model. Manages and supports customer service initiatives, such as store community outreach programs, ensuring customer needs, complaints, and issues are resolved. Develops and implements action plans to address deficiencies and provides process improvement leadership to ensure a high-quality customer experience.
Drives the financial performance and sales of the designated store area by reviewing and evaluating P&L statements, managing budgets, forecasting, and controlling expenses. Ensures effective merchandise presentation, seasonal transitions, inventory flow, and operational processes. Develops and implements action plans to mitigate shrink and achieve sales and profit goals.
Provides supervision and development opportunities for hourly associates by hiring, training, mentoring, and assigning duties. Sets clear expectations, provides recognition, and fosters a culture of belonging. Recruits and develops qualified staff to meet staffing needs and support company growth.
Coordinates and oversees job-related activities by developing relationships with key stakeholders, supporting plans and initiatives, setting goals, building accountability, and measuring progress. Identifies improvement opportunities, demonstrates adaptability, and promotes continuous learning.
Ensures compliance with company policies and supports the company's mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity by implementing related action plans and supporting the Open Door Policy.

Minimum qualifications include 2 years of college; or 1 year of retail experience plus 1 year of supervisory experience; or 2 years of general work experience plus 1 year of supervisory experience. For firearm sales, successful completion of a background check and firearm-specific training is required. Associates must complete all required trainings and assessments.
Preferred qualifications include a Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Leadership through Live Better U and Bellevue University, or supervisory experience managing 5+ direct reports, including performance management, mentoring, hiring, and firing.
