Job summary

Sage's Senior Privacy Counsel in Atlanta leads the US privacy program, advising Product, Engineering, Sales and Marketing on data protection issues, and partnering with Commercial and Product & Technology Legal teams on complex privacy matters, risk management, and incident response.

You will build the data privacy programme from the ground up in the US, influence product decisions with privacy by design, horizon-scan regulatory developments, and act as a key US/Canada privacy liaison within the

Qualifications

• Qualified lawyer with post-qualification experience in data protection
• Ability to build a privacy program in a fast-growing market
• Strong business-partnering and communication skills with non-legal stakeholders

Responsibilities

• Advise on data protection laws and provide high-quality legal guidance to Sage stakeholders
• Partner with Product, engineering, sales and marketing to embed privacy by design
• Coordinate with regional colleagues and external counsel on privacy risk incidents and compliance activities
• Help maintain Sage's data privacy framework and policy development
• Lead advisory efforts on cookies and tracking technologies
• Deliver privacy training to colleagues across Sage
