Job summary

Pinterest is seeking a Senior Privacy Counsel (EU-focused) to provide strategic privacy counseling across Trust & Safety, Product, and Legal teams, embedding privacy-by-design into the product lifecycle.

You will lead DPIAs, advise on GDPR, CCPA, UK GDPR, and cross-border transfers, and help scale governance and templates. This role supports PinFlex and requires in-office 1–2 times every 6 months, nationwide in the US.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of legal practice in privacy and data protection.
• Experience counseling privacy to product and Trust & Safety teams.
• Leads DPIAs and cross-functional mitigations for launches.
• Strong written and verbal communication; translates legal requirements for technical teams.
• Familiar with cross-border data transfers and DPAs is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide end-to-end privacy counseling for products from design through launch and iteration.
• Advise on GDPR, ePrivacy, UK GDPR, CCPA and other privacy laws globally.
• Lead privacy risk assessments and DPIAs with cross-functional partners.
• Operationalize privacy-by-design in systems, workflows, and investigations.
• Develop governance, templates, and playbooks for privacy reviews.
