Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC is seeking a Senior Counsel, Privacy to lead and mature our privacy program and provide practical legal guidance across the business. You will drive AI-enabled privacy solutions, ensure global regulatory compliance, and partner with cross-functional teams in a fast-moving tech environment.

You will influence data protection strategy, build governance processes, and translate evolving laws into actionable guidance for product, engineering, and operations.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of relevant legal experience at a top law firm and/or in-house with a focus on privacy.
• 5+ years building, operating, or leading a privacy program, not only advisory work.
• Deep knowledge of GDPR/UK GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, EU AI Act, and US state privacy laws.
• Experience with DPIAs/PIAs, RoPA, data mapping, and data transfer mechanisms.
• Proficiency with AI tooling to develop privacy automation and governance.

Responsibilities

• Advise on global privacy compliance and regulatory interpretation for the business.
• Lead privacy program governance, including AI governance initiatives.
• Conduct risk assessments, DPIAs/PIAs, and manage data transfer risk.
• Draft/ negotiate DPAs, SCCs, and related data-transfer instruments.
• Develop privacy policies, notices, and training; operate privacy governance frameworks.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with legal, compliance, and product teams.
