Jones Lang LaSalle Incorporated is seeking an experienced payroll leader to manage end-to-end payroll for multiple states, ensuring regulatory compliance and data integrity. You will partner with HR, Finance, and Legal to resolve complex issues and implement process improvements.

The role requires a CPA/CPP-leaning profile with 7–8 years of payroll experience, strong analytical skills, and proficiency in SAP, ADP, and Workday. On-site in Chicago with competitive benefits and compensation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
• Minimum of 7-8 years of progressive experience in payroll processing, with demonstrated expertise in multi-state payroll administration.
• Administration of federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations.
• Proficiency in payroll software and systems, specifically SAP, ADP, and Workday.
• Excellent analytical skills with a high attention to detail.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive payroll information.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
• Knowledge of MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) with strong Excel, PowerPoint and Word skills.
• Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Payroll Administration: Lead end-to-end payroll processes, including complex data entry, calculations, and deductions for multiple states and jurisdictions; ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax requirements.
• Data Analysis and Reporting: Conduct advanced analysis of payroll data; generate ad-hoc and standard reports for management; lead audits to validate data integrity.
• Process Optimization: Identify and implement payroll process improvements; coordinate with HR, Finance, and Legal on system enhancements and requirements.
