Job summary

Veres Career Consulting is seeking a Director of Business Development to lead growth in the US insurance technology space for a specialist consultancy with AI and data capabilities. You will own the end-to-end sales cycle, nurture senior relationships, and collaborate with product and tech teams to tailor solutions for carriers, brokers, and InsurTechs.

You will drive market strategy, maintain a robust pipeline, and operate with senior leadership backing in a remote, nationwide role.

Qualifications

• Experience inside or alongside the US insurance industry and understands workflows, compliance pressures, decision structures, and pain points solved by technology.
• 3–5 years closing technology deals with insurers, ideally data platforms, AI/ML solutions, or digital modernization.
• Familiar with InsurTech ecosystem, major players, platform dynamics, and industry direction.
• Experience navigating enterprise buying processes: long cycles, multiple stakeholders, formal procurement.
• Built relationships across the US insurance market and can articulate value to both business and technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Identify and pursue new business opportunities across US carriers, brokers, and InsurTechs, building a growing pipeline.
• Own the full sales conversation from discovery through proposal, negotiation, and signature across complex deals.
• Collaborate with technical and product teams to tailor solutions addressing insurance clients' operational challenges in AI, data, or software.
• Monitor market dynamics, competitors, and SaaS trends to refine messaging, pricing, and go-to-market strategy.
• Maintain CRM records, pipeline accuracy, revenue forecasting, and smooth internal handovers when deals are won.
