Job summary

Abbott is seeking a Senior Manager, Commercial Sales Training to own the US sales training architecture. You will design curricula, certifications, and sequencing to elevate field performance across sales, management, and customer-facing roles.

Collaborate with Global Training, Marketing, and Field Trainers; manage a team of 3-4 regional trainers; translate global content to US strategy while ensuring compliance and consistency. Lead continuous improvement through data-driven insights.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Education, Organizational Development, or related field.
• 8+ years of experience across IVD sales, commercial training, sales enablement, marketing or related commercial functions.
• Demonstrated experience designing and owning training curricula or learning systems.
• Ability to translate strategy into structured programs.

Responsibilities

• Design end-to-end US sales training curricula across sales, management, and customer-facing roles.
• Define and maintain role-specific certification frameworks, including readiness standards, assessments, and graduation criteria.
• Adapt and translate global content into US-specific sales strategies, messaging, and field application.
• Lead regional field sales trainers (3-4 staff) and ensure curricula are reinforced in the field.
• Conduct ongoing needs analysis and use data to continuously refine curricula and standards.
