Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Two years related experience in a health care organization is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the surgery schedule and provide information to patients and physicians.
• Coordinate, register and schedule appointments according to availability.
• Conduct patient pre-certification for insurance approval for appointments and care.
• Ensure pre-operative tests are scheduled and completed.
• Coordinate equipment, room scheduling and pre-surgery preparations.
• Communicate surgery instructions and arrival/departure details to patients.
• Schedule follow-up appointments as directed by physicians.
• Handle calls related to date changes or cancellations and escalate issues.
• Greet patients, answer phones, take messages, and document interactions in the EMR.
• Schedule visits, procedures, tests, referrals, and consultations.
• Register patients and update demographic data in registration system.
