Responsibilities

• Coordinate and triage referrals received via LifeChart workflow.
• Set follow-up alarms and ensure all referrals are followed up.
• Obtain un-resulted consults and testing orders for referrals.
• Notify ordering provider of missed appointments.
• Scan and route correspondence to the correct provider.
• Take messages, create referrals, and obtain PCP approval per policy.
• Inform patients with appointment details and any prep instructions.
• Maintain knowledge of insurer referral authorization requirements and cultural sensitivity.
• Assist practice team with referral issues and participate in quality improvement.
