UofL Health, Inc. is seeking a Medical Scheduler for the Urology department in Shepherdsville, KY. The role supports physicians by scheduling follow-up visits and tests, coordinating pre-authorizations, and guiding patients through procedures.

The scheduler will handle patient interactions across ages, ensure clear procedure instructions, and maintain strict confidentiality in line with HIPAA. Excellent communication and accuracy are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED/Equivalent (required).
• Two years scheduling experience in a multi-specialty clinic (preferred).

Responsabilités

• Schedule follow-up visits and tests for patients.
• Obtain pre-certifications and pre-authorizations as needed.
• Schedule medical tests and procedures for patients.
• Explain procedure instructions to patients.
• Call patients to schedule procedures and provide instructions.
• Use Allscripts, Centricity Business, and online paging systems.
• Maintain HIPAA confidentiality in all interactions.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
