Job summary

Summit Health Management is seeking a Medical Assistant for our Urology team in Glen Ridge, NJ. This on-site role supports physicians and NP staff, manages vitals, patient flow, documentation, and referrals, while ensuring accurate information in the EHR and PMS systems.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma, completion of a medical assistant or phlebotomy program, and 0-1 year of related experience (2-4 years preferred). BLS is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Graduate of an accredited medical assistant or phlebotomy program.
• 0-1 year related experience required; 2-4 years preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and clean examination room and assist during visits.
• Maintain efficient patient flow and accurate vital signs.
• Update medication lists and allergies in EHR.
• Schedule appointments and manage referrals in PMS/EHR.
• Provide scribing services and assist with documentation.
