Summit Health is seeking a Medical Assistant to support physicians, PAs, or NPs with patient care, documentation, and clinic operations. The role emphasizes efficient patient flow, accurate vitals, allergy documentation, and coordination across EHR and PMS systems.

Candidates should have a medical assistant or phlebotomy program, BLS, and strong English communication skills. This position requires on-site work in New Jersey, with potential satellite-office travel.

Competenze

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Graduated from an accredited medical assistant or phlebotomy program required.
• 0-1 year related work experience required; 2-4 years preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) or within 30 days of hire required.
• Ability to communicate in English, both orally and in writing.
• Ability to organize and perform multiple tasks in a timely manner.
• Basic proficiency in computer use required.

Mansioni

• Prepares and maintains examination rooms; escorts patient and cleans room.
• Maintains efficient patient flow and prepares for visits.
• Documents vitals, allergies, and medications in EHR; checks prescription refills.
• Enters orders and schedules appointments in PMS and EHR.
• Provides referrals and/or consult orders in PMS and EHR."
• Assists in ordering and maintaining supplies; troubleshoots equipment issues.
• Provides scribing services and supports transition of care to UCC/Hospital.
