Job summary

Summit Medical Group is seeking a Medical Assistant to support physicians and extenders with exam room preparation, patient flow, and clerical tasks at our New Jersey facilities.

The role requires a completed medical assistant program, a high school diploma, and 0–1 year of related experience, with BLS within 30 days of hire. Strong English communication and multitasking abilities are essential in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent, required.
• Graduated from an accredited medical assistant or phlebotomy program, required.
• 0-1 year related work experience, required; 2-4 years preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) or within 30 days of hire, required.
• Ability to communicate in English, both orally and in writing, required.
• Ability to organize and perform multiple tasks in a timely manner, required.

Responsibilities

• Prepares the examination room and escorts patients, maintaining patient flow.
• Maintains efficient patient flow and accurately schedules appointments.
• Documents vitals and allergy information in the EHR.
• Interfaces with PMS and EHR to enter orders, referrals, and messages.
• Provides scribing services and supports universal safety precautions.
