Job summary

Northwestern Medicine Catherine Gratz Griffin Lake Forest Hospital is seeking a Medical Assistant for a full-time, 40-hour per week position at the Grayslake clinic, with potential travel to Glenview and Lake Forest locations. Monday through Friday schedule.

You will support physicians and nurses, assist with patient flow, perform routine clinical tasks, and maintain clean treatment areas while safeguarding patient confidentiality and delivering high-quality care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• BLS/CPR certification required or obtained within six months of hire.
• Strong computer skills and familiarity with EMR/EHR systems.
• Certification as MA (CMA/RMA/NCMA/CCMA/NRCMA) or eligibility within six months preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure efficient patient flow and accurate rooming procedures.
• Assist with procedures (ECG, venipuncture, immunizations) per protocols.
• Maintain clean, stocked exam rooms and proper inventory management.
• Document patient information accurately and maintain confidentiality.
• Support care team with administrative tasks and coordination of care.
