Northwestern Medicine Catherine Gratz Griffin Lake Forest Hospital is seeking a Medical Assistant to support physicians, nurses and other licensed staff by facilitating patient flow and assisting with procedures. Responsibilities include preparing exam rooms, taking vital signs, assisting with ECG, venipuncture, immunizations, and CLIA-waived testing as directed by the Provider.

A high school diploma and CMA/RMA/NCMA/CCMA/NRCMA credentials or eligibility are required within six months of

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Certification in CMA / RMA / NCMA / CCMA / NRCMA preferred or eligible.
• BLS/CPR certification required within six months of employment.
• 0–2 years of relevant experience acceptable; strong computer skills.

Responsabilidades

• Ensure efficient patient flow and prepare patients for examination.
• Assist practitioners with medical and surgical procedures per protocol.
• Disinfect and stock exam rooms; monitor inventory and equipment.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and provide professional patient interactions.
• Perform delegated procedures as applicable to the specialty area.
• Support opening/closing office procedures and team communications.

Educación

High school diploma or GED

Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or CMA exam eligibility

Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) or equivalent

National Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA)

Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA)

Nationally Registered Certified Medical Assistant (NRCMA)

American Heart Association BLS/CPR certification

Zero to two years’ experience in a relevant role
