Job summary

VillageMD is seeking a Medical Assistant to support physicians and mid-level providers with patient care, clerical duties, and documentation in the EHR. You will prepare exam rooms, assist during visits, and help manage patient flow across satellite offices in New Jersey.

Minimum high school diploma, completion of an accredited MA program, and BLS within 30 days are required. 0-1 year experience is expected, with 2-4 years preferred. The role includes travel to satellite offices as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Graduated from an accredited medical assistant or phlebotomy program.
• 0-1 year related work experience is required, 2-4 years preferred.
• BLS certification or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Prepare examination rooms and maintain patient flow.
• Assist physician/PA/NP with patient care and procedures.
• Document in EHR and keep patient records up to date.
• Schedule appointments and manage inventory of supplies.
• Provide scribing services and referrals as needed.
• Ensure safety and compliance with universal precautions.
