Job summary

VillageMD is seeking a proactive Medical Assistant to support physicians and mid-level providers in a fast-paced clinic environment. You will prepare examination rooms, manage patient flow, document vitals in the EHR, and assist with procedures and care coordination.

Requirements include a High School Diploma or equivalent, graduation from an MA or phlebotomy program, and 0-1 year of related experience. BLS is required within 30 days of hire. Some travel to satellite offices may be needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Graduated from an accredited medical assistant or phlebotomy program.
• 0-1 year related work experience is required.
• 2-4 years related work experience is preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) is required within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Prepares the examination room.
• Escorts patient into the room and maintains efficient patient flow.
• Cleans examination room when exam is complete and stocks supplies.
• Documents vitals and updates EHR with patient information.
• Assists with scheduling appointments and manages messages.
