Job summary

VillageMD is seeking a Medical Assistant to support physicians, PAs, or NPs with clerical duties, patient flow, and basic care procedures. You will prepare exam rooms, collect vital signs, and document in the EHR to ensure accurate patient records.

Responsibilities include scheduling, maintaining supplies, and assisting with referrals in the PMS/EHR. Successful candidates will have 0–1 year of related experience and a Medical Assistant program certificate, plus BLS certification within 30 days.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Graduated from an accredited medical assistant or phlebotomy program.
• 0-1 year related work experience, required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) or within 30 days of hire, required.
• Ability to communicate in English, both orally and in writing, required.
• Ability to organize and perform multiple tasks in a timely manner, required.
• Basic proficiency in computer use, required.

Responsibilities

• Prepares the examination room and escorts the patient.
• Maintains efficient patient flow.
• Prepares information needed for patient visit.
• Documents vitals and allergies in the EHR.
• Orders and schedules appointments in PMS and EHR.
• Supports transitions of care where needed.
