VillageMD is hiring a Medical Assistant to support physicians, PAs or NPs with patient care, clerical tasks and efficient patient flow in satellite offices. You will prepare exam rooms, assist during visits, document vitals and update the EHR and medication lists in a timely manner.

Education: High School diploma, MA or phlebotomy program graduate; 0–1 year required (2–4 years preferred); BLS required; English communication and basic computer skills.

Formación

• High School Diploma or equivalent; required.
• Graduated from an accredited medical assistant or phlebotomy program; required.
• 0–1 year related work experience; required.
• 2–4 years related work experience; preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) or within 30 days of hire; required.
• Ability to communicate in English, both orally and in writing; required.
• Ability to organize and perform multiple tasks in a timely manner; required.
• Basic proficiency in computer use; required.

Responsabilidades

• Prepares the examination room.
• Escorts patient into the room.
• Cleans examination room when exam is complete.
• Maintains efficient patient flow.
• Ensures proper preparation for patient visit.
• Prepares pertinent information for patient visit.
• Documents in the EHR and updates medication lists.
• Demonstrates safe handling of medications and supplies.
