Job summary

United Medical Systems is seeking a Urology Scrub Technician to support laser and ureteroscopy procedures. The role requires assisting the Urologist, preparing and sterilizing equipment, and maintaining logs in a HIPAA-compliant environment.

Ideal candidates have OR experience and familiarity with Holmium Laser procedures, with a focus on efficient setup, equipment upkeep, and strong teamwork with physician partners.

Qualifications

• Certified Scrub Tech or Certified Surgical Technologist with OR experience.
• Urology experience preferred.
• Minimum 1 year experience in an OR setting.
• Holmium Laser experience a plus.
• Knowledge of sterilization protocols a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform procedures following Laser protocols.
• Set up ureteroscopy/laser equipment in OR prior to procedure.
• Assist Urologist during ureteroscopy and laser procedures.
• Report to facility 60 minutes prior to start of procedure.
• Submit complete and legible treatment/billing logs per HIPAA policies.
• Review and maintain inventory of supplies and cystoscopy equipment.
• Contact facilities to confirm schedule and start times.
• Maintain and update Policies & Procedures Manuals; review before inspections.
