Job summary

United Medical Systems is seeking a Urology Scrub Technician to support laser procedures and ureteroscopy in the OR. You will prepare, assist, and coordinate with physicians and facilities, ensuring HIPAA-compliant logs and timely scheduling.

Preferred candidates hold scrub tech or surgical tech certification, with 1 year OR experience and Urology/Holmium laser familiarity. Competitive benefits and full-time opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

• Certified Scrub Tech or Certified Surgical Technologist preferred.
• Minimum 1 year experience in an OR setting.
• Urology experience preferred.
• Holmium Laser experience a plus.
• Sterilization protocols knowledge is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform procedures in accordance with all Laser protocols.
• Move and set up ureteroscopy/laser equipment in OR prior to procedure.
• Assist Urologist in performing ureteroscopy and laser procedures.
• Report to facility no later than 60 minutes prior to the start of the procedure.
• Submit complete and legible treatment/billing logs according to HIPAA policies.
• Review and maintain inventory of supplies and cystoscopy equipment.
• Contact facilities to confirm schedule, number of patient procedures and start times.
• Maintain after-hours contact at each facility for emergencies, coordinate with Laser Supervisor.
• Maintain relationships with physician partners.
• Maintain Policies & Procedure Manuals and review updates before inspections.
• Upkeep of equipment and supplies for efficient procedures; prep for transport including cleaning.
