Job summary

United Medical Systems is seeking a Urology Scrub Technician to support OR procedures, including ureteroscopy and laser operations, while maintaining sterile technique and inventory. You will coordinate with facilities to confirm schedules and ensure timely start times, and you will help document logs in accordance with HIPAA guidelines.

The position requires a certified scrub tech or CST, OR experience, and Urology exposure. A Holmium Laser background and sterilization knowledge are a plus.

Qualifications

• Certified Scrub Tech or Certified Surgical Technologist preferred.
• Prior OR experience preferred.
• Urology experience preferred.
• Minimum 1 year experience in an OR setting.
• Holmium Laser experience a plus.
• Knowledge of sterilization protocols a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform procedures in accordance with all Laser protocols.
• Move and set up ureteroscopy/laser equipment in OR prior to procedure.
• Assist Urologist in performing ureteroscopy and laser procedures.
• Report to facility 60 minutes prior to start of procedure.
• Submit complete and legible treatment/billing logs per HIPAA policies.
• Review and maintain inventory of supplies and cystoscopy equipment.
• Contact facilities to confirm schedule and start times.
• Maintain relationships with physician partners.
• Maintain Policies & Procedure Manuals and review for inspections.
• Prepare equipment for transport and upkeep of equipment and supplies.
