Job summary

United Medical Systems is seeking a Urology Scrub Technician to support laser and ureteroscopy procedures in hospital OR settings. You will assist the urologist, set up sterile equipment, and ensure compliance with HIPAA and facility protocols.

Ideal candidates have at least 1 year of OR experience, preferably in urology. The role includes equipment prep, inventory management, and after-hours incident response, with competitive salaries and full benefits offered.

Qualifications

• Certified Scrub Tech or Surgical Technologist background preferred.
• Minimum 1 year experience in an operating room setting.
• Urology experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform procedures in accordance with Laser protocols.
• Move and set up ureteroscopy/laser equipment in OR prior to procedures.
• Assist Urologist in ureteroscopy and laser procedures.
• Report to facility prior to start of procedures.
• Submit treatment/billing logs per HIPAA policies.
• Maintain inventory of supplies and cystoscopy equipment.
• Confirm schedule with facilities and start times.
• Maintain equipment and prepare for transport and cleaning/disinfection.
• Notify service engineer of equipment malfunctions.
• Wear company name badge on premises.
