Job summary

United Medical Systems is seeking a Urology Scrub / Surgical / Laser Tech to support OR procedures with ureteroscopy and laser equipment. You will assist urologists, set up equipment, and ensure HIPAA-compliant logs and inventory control.

The role requires OR experience, urology exposure, and familiarity with laser protocols; sterilization knowledge is a plus as is the ability to coordinate with facilities and after-hours contacts.

Qualifications

• Certified Scrub Tech or CST preferred.
• Prior OR experience preferred.
• Urology experience preferred.
• Minimum 1 year experience in an OR setting.
• Prior Holmium Laser utilization for Urology procedures a plus.
• Knowledge of sterilization protocols is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform procedures in accordance with Laser protocols.
• Move and set up ureteroscopy/laser equipment in OR prior to procedure.
• Assist Urologist during ureteroscopy and laser procedures.
• Report to facility 60 minutes before the start of the procedure.
• Submit complete treatment/billing logs per HIPAA policies.
• Review and maintain inventory of supplies and cystoscopy equipment.
• Contact facilities to confirm schedule and number of procedures.
• Maintain after-hours contact at each facility for emergencies.
• Build and maintain relationships with physician partners.
• Maintain Policies & Procedures Manuals and review before inspections.
• Maintain equipment and supplies for efficient, clean procedures.
• Notify service engineer of malfunctioning equipment.
• Laser Specialist to wear company name badge at all times on premises.
