Job summary

U.S. Urology Partners seeks a Lead Patient Access Representative to supervise front-desk activities, train PARs, and manage scheduling for urology procedures. You will serve as a subject-matter expert on urology workflows and privacy compliance, handling sensitive patient interactions with discretion.

The role involves coaching, staffing oversight, and coordinating complex appointment templates while ensuring smooth patient flow and accurate prior authorizations in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate degree or higher preferred.
• 3–5 years of medical front-office experience preferred.
• Experience in urology, surgical specialty, or procedural practice strongly preferred.
• Lead or mentoring experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform all Patient Access Representative duties including check-in/out, scheduling, insurance verification and patient payments.
• Train and onboard new PARs on front desk workflows, procedures and terminology.
• Provide real-time coaching on handling sensitive patient interactions and maintaining patient dignity.
• Build and maintain PAR schedules to ensure adequate front-desk coverage.
• Oversee daily front desk operations to ensure efficient patient flow for visits and procedures.
• Coordinate complex scheduling templates involving providers, procedure rooms, equipment and prep requirements.
• Support prior authorization workflows for imaging, procedures, and specialty medications.
• Identify and resolve operational bottlenecks such as delays and flow challenges.
• Uphold HIPAA compliance and privacy standards; support audits.
