Job summary

Trinity Health Of New England’s Urology Practice in West Hartford is seeking a friendly Business Services Representative to greet patients, schedule appointments, assist with registration, insurance verification and collect copays at the time of service.

You will support pre-authorizations, referrals and chart preparation to ensure smooth visits while maintaining accuracy and excellent customer service for every patient interaction.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience within a medical office or billing department preferred. Knowledge of patient billing and medical terminology preferred
• Excellent keyboard skills. Requires proficiency in a Windows based computer environment and Microsoft Office products. Accuracy and dependability required. Bilingual (Spanish speaking) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greets and communicates with patients in person or by phone in a courteous and professional manner.
• Answers telephones promptly and uses appropriate scripting.
• Transfers calls to the appropriate staff member/provider as needed.
• Schedules patient appointments based on department protocols to maximize provider productivity.
