Job summary

Trinity Health Of New England in Farmington, CT is seeking a friendly Business Services Representative to be the first point of contact for patients. In this role you will greet patients, answer calls, schedule appointments, register patients, verify insurance, and collect copays at the time of service.

You will coordinate pre-authorizations and referrals, prepare charts for visits, and support providers in delivering high‑quality primary care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in a medical office or billing department preferred.
• Knowledge of patient billing and medical terminology preferred.
• Excellent keyboard skills; proficiency in Windows and Microsoft Office; accuracy and dependability; bilingual Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greets and communicates with patients in person or by phone in a courteous and professional manner.
• Answers telephones promptly and uses appropriate scripting.
• Routes calls to the appropriate staff member/provider.
• Schedules patient appointments based on department protocols to maximize provider productivity.
