Trinity Health Of New England in Farmington is seeking a friendly Business Services Representative to be the first contact for patients, greeting them in person or by phone and handling registration, scheduling, and copay collection with accuracy and courtesy. You will verify insurance, coordinate pre-authorizations and referrals, and support providers by preparing charts and ensuring smooth visits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience within a medical office or billing department preferred.
• Knowledge of patient billing and medical terminology preferred.
• Excellent keyboard skills.
• Requires proficiency in a Windows based computer environment and Microsoft Office products.
• Accuracy and dependability required.
• Bilingual (Spanish speaking) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greets and communicates with patients via phone or in person in a courteous and professional manner identifying themselves and their department.
• Answers telephones in a timely, courteous, and professional manner utilizing appropriate scripting.
• Processes calls to ensure patients are transferred to the appropriate staff member/provider in a timely manner.
• Schedules patient appointments based on department protocols in order to maximize provider productivity.
