Job summary

Mass General Brigham Medical Group Northern Massachusetts, Inc. is seeking a full-time Clinic/Practice Assistant for our Urology team in Newburyport. You will manage patient visits, scheduling, check-in/out, and billing processes in a collaborative outpatient setting.

The role emphasizes strong organization, communication, and customer service to ensure a welcoming patient experience. Hybrid work and daytime hours are offered in a stable clinic environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Two to three years of office experience required.
• Certified Medical Administrative Assistant (CMAA) preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and general office operations.
• Strong written and verbal communication, organization, and time management.

Responsibilities

• Support daily practice operations by handling administrative and clerical duties for patient visits.
• Schedule patient appointments, maintain records, and assist with check-in/check-out.
• Answer calls, respond to inquiries, take messages, and route patient needs appropriately.
• Process billing forms, scan documents, and support patient documentation.
• Assist with prior authorizations, provider questions, prescriptions, and test results.
• Serve as a resource for scheduling, registration, and billing systems and provide training as needed.
• Support complex tasks such as surgical scheduling, schedule changes, or template blocking as required.
• Collaborate with supervisor to support daily staff activities and efficient operations.
