Job summary

Bon Secours Mercy Health in Ohio is seeking an X-Ray Technician to perform digital radiographic studies with a focus on patient safety and quality imaging. The role involves positioning, shielding, documentation in EMR, and collaboration with healthcare teams.

Required ARRT certification or state licensure per location; associate degree preferred. Travel to off-site facilities may be needed to support providers and patient care activities.

Qualifications

• Provide patient-centered radiologic care with attention to safety and accuracy.
• Prioritize patient positioning and immobilization during imaging exams.
• Demonstrate strong communication with patients and care teams.
• Maintain accurate documentation and charting in EMR and PACS workflows.
• Familiarity with EPIC/EHR and RIS is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Safely perform provider-ordered radiographic examinations with proper positioning and shielding.
• Set up and adjust immobilization devices; ensure patient safety and comfort.
• Document patient encounters in EMR system.
• Select appropriate exposure factors and maintain equipment and patient safety.
• Travel to off-site facilities as needed to support patient care activities.
• Follow sterile technique; prevent cross-contamination.
• Assist with ordering supplies, labs, and front-desk duties as needed.
