Job summary

Summit Health Management is seeking a seasonal care team member for an urgent care site. You will document patient visits in the EMR, assist clinicians with care, and help manage patient flow and lab responsibilities.

Ideal candidates have a Medical Assisting background or phlebotomy training, excellent communication skills, and a positive, compassionate demeanor. This role supports DOH compliance and patient service excellence.

Qualifications

• High School Degree or GED; Medical Assisting program and/or phlebotomy certs are a plus, but training is provided.
• Friendly and professional with excellent bedside manner.
• Flexible with full-time schedule including a weekend day.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
• Bilingual skills preferred based on site location.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required at time of hire.

Responsibilities

• Capture accurate and detailed documentation of patient visits into the EMR.
• Assist physician with basic patient care and medical procedures.
• Direct patient flow, inventory, and follow up on labs.
• Ensure site lab compliance with DOH regulations.
• Provide exceptional customer service while maintaining quality.
