Job summary

Summit Health Management is seeking a Scribe Tech for our urgent care facilities. The role supports physicians with patient care, documents visits in the EMR, and helps manage lab processing and patient flow. Strong communication and a patient-focused approach are essential for success.

The position is full-time, on site, with shifts up to 8–12 hours, including weekends. BLS certification at hire and English proficiency are required, with training provided.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; Medical Assisting program and/or phlebotomy certifications a plus, but not required.
• Friendly and professional bedside manner.
• English language skills required (speaking and writing).
• BLS certification required at time of hire.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; capable of independent work when needed.
• Flexible with full-time schedule including weekends.
• Proficient in basic computer tasks and EMR systems.

Responsibilities

• Capture accurate and detailed documentation of patient visits in the EMR in a timely manner.
• Assist physician with basic patient care and medical procedures (phlebotomy, UA, EKG, labs).
• Escort patients to exam rooms and imaging, and maintain patient flow.
• Ensure site lab compliance with DOH regulations and logbook maintenance.
• Maintain supplies and a clean, courteous, professional environment.
• Communicate with patients, pharmacies, and physicians under physician guidance.
