Job summary

Summit Health Management seeks a Scribe Tech for a seasonal position ending 2027-01-30. You will capture accurate patient visit documentation into the EMR and assist physicians with basic patient care and medical procedures in a busy urgent care setting.

You will help direct patient flow, manage lab inventory, and ensure DOH compliance, while delivering excellent customer service to patients and families.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED required; coursework in medical assisting preferred.
• Medical assisting program completion or phlebotomy certification a plus, training provided.
• English language skills required; strong written and spoken communication.

Responsibilities

• Assist physician with basic patient care and procedures (phlebotomy, UA, EKG, etc.).
• Ensure DOH compliance of lab and exam rooms; manage logs and supplies.
• Escort patients to exams, imaging, and other facilities on site.
• Maintain quick pace in fast-paced urgent care for full shifts (8–12 hours).
• Support diagnostic testing and referrals via Aftercare; communicate with patients, pharmacies, and physicians.
