Summit Health Management is seeking a Scribe Tech for a seasonal role at an urgent care site. You will document patient visits into the EMR, assist physicians with basic care, and help manage patient flow and labs under physician guidance.

The position offers full-time schedule with weekend work and requires English proficiency, a healthcare education background, and a passion for compassionate patient service. The role emphasizes DOH compliance and a fast-paced clinic environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED, related healthcare education is a plus.
• Medical Assisting program and/or phlebotomy certifications a plus, but not required.
• Friendly and professional with excellent bedside manner.
• English language skills required (speaking and writing).
• Flexible with full-time work schedule including a weekend day.

Responsabilités

• Capture accurate and detailed documentation of patient visits into the EMR in a timely manner.
• Assist physician with basic patient care and medical procedures.
• Assist site management with directing patient flow, inventory, and lab follow-up.
• Ensure site lab compliance with DOH regulations and maintain logbooks.
• Escort patients to exam rooms, x-rays or other facilities on site.
• Maintain a fast pace in a busy urgent care facility during shifts of 8–12 hours.
• Coordinate diagnostic tests and referrals to specialists for follow-up care.
• Communicate with patients, pharmacies, and physicians over the phone under physician guidance.
• Keep a clean, courteous, and professional workspace.
• Keep the site stocked with supplies.
• Provide compassionate care to patients.
