Job summary

MedStar Health is seeking a Radiology Technologist to join its Urgent Care team. You will perform clinical and administrative duties, including patient intake, venipuncture, lab testing, and administering medications under provider supervision.

You will also perform X-ray imaging and transmit images for radiologist review while maintaining patient safety and care quality. This role supports efficient patient flow within a large health system.

Qualifications

• Associated degree or higher required.
• Completion of an approved Radiologic Technologist (R.T.) program.
• Externship in a medical or ambulatory health setting.
• 2 years of medical office experience preferred.
• ARRT Certification.
• Maryland, Virginia, or DC State License required.
• BLS Certification required.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to MedStar Health policies, cleans, stocks, sterilizes equipment, and prepares patient rooms for care delivery.
• Manages patient flow with clear communication and ensures patient comfort.
• Performs radiographic imaging and selects orders; forwards images to radiologists for overreads.
• Assists in patient examination, testing and education under supervision of a medical provider.
