Job summary

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher required.
• Completion of an approved radiologic technologist program.
• ARRT certification required.
• State license in Maryland, Virginia, or DC.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to MedStar Health Code of Conduct and Compliance plan; maintains safety and quality of care.
• Manages patient flow and communicates with patients and families; uses EMR and performs designated testing.
• Performs x-rays per physician orders and transmits images to radiologists; maintains equipment and adheres to safety standards.
• Provides patient escort and assists in discharge; supports new clinical initiatives and patient experience.
• Under supervision, assists with venipuncture and injections as appropriate; supports front desk patient intake skills.
