Job summary

MedStar Health is seeking a Radiology Technologist for the Urgent Care team to perform X-ray imaging, venipuncture, and related tests in a fast-paced setting. You will support patient intake, follow protocols, and document results in the EMR while maintaining patient safety and timely flow.

Working under physician supervision, you will assist with tests such as spirometry, EKGs, vitals, and injections as competency allows, across multiple MedStar sites within the system.

Responsibilities

• Float to other sites within the system to perform duties at multiple entities.
• Adhere to Code of Conduct, Compliance plan, training; ensure safety, infection control, CPR, EMR, and patient care quality.
• Embrace new technology and manage patient flow with clear communication and respect for time and comfort.
• Perform venipuncture and selected lab tests; order x-rays; forward images to radiologist for overreads; maintain equipment.
• Provide care aligned with MedStar Health mission; escort patients and assist in discharge; support new initiatives.
• Support team during downtime and assist medical provider with examinations, testing and education.
