Job summary

MedStar Health’s Washington Hospital Center is seeking a Radiology Technologist to join the urgent care team. You will perform imaging, venipuncture, and point‑of‑care testing while maintaining patient flow and safety under physician supervision.

Responsibilities include administering medications per protocol, documenting in EMR, and supporting other clinical services as needed. AAS/RT program training and ARRT certification are required, with MD/VA/DC licensure and BLS credentials.

Qualifications

• Requires associate degree and completion of an approved radiologic technologist program.
• Externship in a medical or ambulatory health setting is preferred.
• 2 years of medical office experience is preferred.
• ARRT certification and state license (MD/VA/DC) required; BLS required.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to conduct and compliance guidelines; ensures safety and quality of care.
• Manages patient flow with clear communication and care coordination.
• Performs radiographic imaging and forwards images for radiologist review.
• Assists in patient examination, testing, and education under provider supervision.
• Supports downtime with basic front desk tasks and care pathway documentation.

Associate degree

Completion of an approved RT program

Externship in a medical or ambulatory health setting

2 years of medical office experience
