Job summary

MedStar Health is looking for a Radiology Technologist to join our urgent care team in the Baltimore-Washington metro region. Under physician supervision, you will perform X-ray imaging, venipuncture, basic lab tasks, and patient intake, while ensuring safety and quality in care.

You will work closely with clinicians, document findings, and help maintain efficient patient flow throughout the care process. Requires ARRT certification and MD/VA/DC license; BLS preferred.

Qualifications

• Must have an Associate degree.
• Completion of an approved Radiologic Technologist program.
• Externship in a medical or ambulatory setting.
• 2 years medical office experience preferred.
• ARRT Certification.
• Maryland, Virginia, or DC State License.
• BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to Code of Conduct and compliance guidelines; maintain safety and prepare patient rooms.
• Manage patient flow with clear communication; perform x-rays and related tests under orders.
• Perform venipuncture and point-of-care testing; forward images to radiologist for overreads.
• Provide care aligned with MedStar Health mission and values; support patient discharge and education.
• Assist team during downtime; basic front desk computer/patient intake tasks; assist in examinations.
