Job summary

Advocate Health in Shelby, NC is seeking a full-time urgent care front desk associate to deliver compassionate patient service, register patients, verify insurance, and schedule appointments in a fast-paced setting.

You will handle cash and insurance workflows, support billing functions, and maintain accurate patient records while following healthcare regulations; weekend and holiday shifts are required. On-site role with a collaborative, growth-oriented team.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience with Medical Records Software preferred.
• Customer relations experience required.
• Front desk practice experience preferred.

• Exemplify caring and compassionate customer service to create an excellent patient experience.
• Provide exemplary interpersonal skills and ability to interact with patients and families in sensitive situations.
• Demonstrates critical thinking and decisive judgment in a fast-paced environment; team-oriented with minimal supervision.
• Manage patient registration, insurance verification, scheduling, collection and cash receipting, arrival/departure desk activities, ensuring accuracy and patient experience.
• Encourage patient utilization of front-end technology during registration process.
• Enter and maintain confidential patient information and assist billing functions as needed.
