Job summary
WellNow Urgent Care is hiring Patient Care Technicians to join our expanding team in Illinois. You will take patient histories, obtain vital signs, perform phlebotomy if certified, and assist providers during exams and testing in a fast-paced urgent care setting.

Qualifications
- 6+ months of experience as a Patient Care Technician or similar role; OR equivalent education/certification in a related healthcare specialty
- Preferred experience in Urgent Care, Occupational Medicine, and/or Phlebotomy
- Ability to register patients on the computer and use EMR systems
- CPR certification required or able to obtain
- Detail-oriented with strong communication and teamwork skills
Responsibilities
- Take patient history and obtain vital signs
- Perform phlebotomy if certified
- Complete lab paperwork and order forms
- Conduct point-of-care testing (strep, flu, glucose, urine)
- Schedule and coordinate records for ancillary care
- Assist providers during exams and testing
- Maintain patient confidentiality (HIPAA)
- Ensure equipment is functional and rooms stocked
- Document patient histories and exam findings in the EMR
