Job summary

WellNow Urgent Care is seeking a Patient Care Technician to support front-line clinical operations in our Illinois locations. You will be integral to patient flow, history taking, vital signs, and lab specimen handling, with opportunities for growth within urgent care, occupational medicine, and phlebotomy pathways.

The role emphasizes teamwork, accuracy, HIPAA compliance, and delivering quick, quality care.

Qualifications

• 6+ months of experience as a Patient Care Technician or similar role.
• Preferred Urgent Care or Phlebotomy experience.
• Ability to register patients and operate EMR systems.

Responsibilities

• Take patient history and obtain vital signs.
• Perform phlebotomy if certified.
• Complete lab paperwork and order entry for tests.
• Perform point-of-care tests (strep, glucose, influenza, pregnancy, urinalysis).
• Assist providers with exams and testing.
• Maintain patient confidentiality (HIPAA) and room readiness.
