WellNow Urgent Care in Illinois is seeking a Patient Care Technician to support front-end and clinical operations. You will take patient histories, collect vital signs, and assist with exams to ensure smooth patient flow.

The role includes phlebotomy if certified, lab documentation, and helping with point-of-care testing. This position emphasizes HIPAA compliance, teamwork, and delivering quick, quality care. Starting at $21.00 per hour with benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• 6+ months of experience as a Patient Care Technician or similar role or equivalent education/certification
• Preferred Urgent Care/Occupational Medicine experience and/or Phlebotomy
• Ability to register patients in EMR and maintain HIPAA privacy standards
• CPR certification is beneficial and CPR training is expected

Responsibilities

• Take patient history and obtain vital signs
• Perform phlebotomy for lab samples if certified
• Complete lab paperwork and record results in the EMR
• Conduct point-of-care testing (strep, glucose, influenza, pregnancy tests, urinalysis)
• Schedule and coordinate ancillary care records
• Assist providers with exams and testing and support room readiness
• Maintain patient confidentiality and clean examination rooms
• Ensure equipment is functioning and logs are updated
• Handle registration, triage calls, and patient throughput
