WellNow Urgent Care in Chicago seeks a Patient Care Technician to support both front desk and clinical tasks. You will take patient histories, record vital signs, perform phlebotomy when certified, and assist providers with exams and routine testing.

Ideal candidates have at least 6 months in a PCT role, CPR certification, EMT-B or Medical Assistant credentials preferred, and comfort with EMR systems. The role offers competitive hourly pay starting at $21, a benefits package, and opportunities

Qualifications

• 6+ months of experience as a Patient Care Technician or similar role.
• Preferred experience in Urgent Care, Occupational Medicine, and/or Phlebotomy.
• CPR certification or equivalent is required.

Responsabilités

• Take patient history and record vital signs.
• Perform phlebotomy if certified and collect laboratory samples.
• Complete lab paperwork and enter results in the EMR.
• Assist providers with exams and tests.
• Explain insurance coverage and collect patient payments at reception.
• Maintain clean and stocked examination rooms and assist with patient flow.
