WellNow Urgent Care is hiring a Patient Care Technician in Elgin, IL. The role supports front-end and clinical operations, enabling efficient patient flow and quality care. Starting pay is $21 per hour with benefits and opportunities for growth.

Responsibilities include patient history collection, vital signs, phlebotomy (if certified), lab processing, point-of-care testing, and assisting providers. Strong CPR, EMR skills, teamwork, and excellent communication are essential.

Qualifications

• 6+ months of experience as a Patient Care Technician or similar role

Responsibilities

• Take patient history and obtain vital signs
• Perform phlebotomy if certified
• Complete lab paperwork and EMR entries
• Conduct point-of-care testing (strep, glucose, etc.)
• Schedule and coordinate ancillary records
• Assist providers with exams and testing
• Maintain patient confidentiality (HIPAA)
• Ensure equipment works and restock supplies
• Support workflow to improve provider efficiency
• Document patient history and clinical findings in the chart
• Contribute to Occupational Medicine tasks (Drug Screens, PFTs, etc.)
