Job summary

Indiana University Health seeks a Practice Administrator to lead a portfolio of urgent care clinics, driving operational excellence and an enhanced patient experience across multiple sites in the Indianapolis area.

The role requires strong onsite presence, strategic oversight of operations and performance, and frequent travel between Avon, Brownsburg, and Lafayette locations to support a seven-day urgent care operation.

Qualifications

• Must hold a bachelors degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 7-10 years of progressive healthcare leadership experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of leadership in ambulatory or outpatient settings, including 3-5 years managing physician practice operations.
• Strong knowledge of healthcare operations, care delivery models, regulatory requirements, and healthcare legislation.
• Experience using benchmarking data and industry best practices to drive operational improvement.
• Proficient with healthcare technology systems and business applications.
• Ability to occasionally lift, move, or carry objects up to 50 pounds as needed.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the day-to-day operations, performance, and strategic priorities across multiple urgent care locations.
• Lead clinic leadership, drive operational excellence, and enhance both team member and patient experience.
• Travel among Avon, Brownsburg, and two Lafayette locations with onsite rounding at least weekly.
• Be visible and accessible to clinic leaders, providers, and team members.
• Support a seven-day urgent care operation with schedule flexibility for early mornings, evenings, weekends, or holidays.
