Job summary

Indiana University Health seeks a Practice Administrator - Urgent Care to serve as the operational leader for a portfolio of urgent care clinics. This leader will drive patient experience, employee engagement, and performance across multiple sites with significant onsite presence.

The role demands 7–10 years of healthcare leadership, ambulatory/outpatient experience, and a strong background in operations, financial management, and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or related field.
• 7-10 years of progressive healthcare leadership experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of leadership experience in an ambulatory or outpatient setting, including 3-5 years managing physician practice operations.
• Strong knowledge of healthcare operations, care delivery models, financial management, regulatory requirements, and healthcare legislation.
• Experience utilizing benchmarking data and industry best practices to drive operational improvement.
• Proficient with healthcare technology systems and business applications.
• Ability to occasionally lift, move, or carry objects up to 50 pounds as needed.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations, performance, and strategic priorities across multiple urgent care locations within an assigned territory.
• Travel among clinics with onsite rounding weekly across Downtown, Broad Ripple, Noblesville, and Muncie locations.
• Build strong clinic leadership and advance organizational initiatives to ensure high-quality care and service excellence.
• Maintain employee engagement and strong operational performance through visible leadership and change management.
• Support a seven-day urgent care operation with flexible scheduling including early mornings, evenings, weekends or holidays.
