Job summary

Indiana University Health is seeking a Practice Administrator - Urgent Care to lead operations across a portfolio of clinics in the Indianapolis area, with regular on-site rounds at Greenwood, Bloomington, and Bedford locations and flexibility to support a seven-day urgent care operation.

Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or related field required.
Master of Healthcare Administration (MHA) or MBA preferred.
7–10 years of progressive healthcare leadership experience.
Minimum 5 years leadership in ambulatory/outpatient settings, including 3–5 years managing physician practice operations.
Strong knowledge of operations, care delivery models, financial management, regulatory requirements, and healthcare legislation.
Experience using benchmarking data to drive operational improvement.
Proficient with healthcare technology systems and business applications.
Ability to occasionally lift, move, or carry objects up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

Oversee day-to-day operations across multiple urgent care locations.
Drive performance, strategic priorities, and patient experience improvements.
Develop clinic leadership teams and promote employee engagement.
Travel weekly among Greenwood, Bloomington, and Bedford sites with on-site rounding.
