Job summary

Trinity Health IHA Medical Group seeks an Office Coordinator to oversee specified office areas in collaboration with the Practice Manager, delivering friendly, efficient service and ensuring smooth patient flow and high-quality care.

You will supervise day-to-day operations, coordinate care between patients and providers, assist with recruitment and coaching of staff, and contribute to quality improvement across Urgent Care sites at EMU and Belleville.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent with applicable college coursework or seminars in management and supervision.
• Prefer associate or bachelor’s degree in Management, Healthcare Administration, etc.
• Credentialed Medical Assistant: CMA, RMA, NCMA, CCMA, NRCMA, CMAC listed above.

Responsibilities

• Supervise day-to-day operations of assigned areas.
• Manages more complex patient reception/medical records problems or insurance issues.
• Provides suggestions to continually improve processes and the customer experience.
• Assists with recruitment, hiring, orientation, training and coaching of staff.
• Maintains scheduling, time and attendance for staff.
• Evaluates the performance of staff, recommends promotions and disciplinary action.
• Coordinate care and serve as a liaison between patients and providers.
• Support quality improvement initiatives and disease management programs.

Education

High School Diploma or equivalent with management coursework

Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Management or Healthcare Administration

Medical Assistant credentials (CMA, RMA, NCMA, CCMA, NRCMA, CMAC)
