American Family Care Thornton is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider to join our urgent care team. You will care for patients within the scope of training and approved agreements, collaborating with other providers to ensure efficient flow and high patient satisfaction.

The role requires current PA/NP licensure in Colorado, DEA registration, and ER/UC experience, with the ability to multitask and work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Active and current Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner licensure in CO.
• DEA number and state-controlled substance certificate as required.
• ER/UC experience preferred.
• Ability to multitask and work independently.

Responsibilities

• Take complete patient histories and perform accurate assessments.
• Order labs, radiology and diagnostics as indicated.
• Formulate diagnoses and institute appropriate therapy or referrals.
• Provide emergency measures when needed and stabilize patients.
• Educate patients and families on health care and prevention.
